After my previous lawn mower’s motor gave out—likely due to my negligence in letting it get clogged with mud—I found myself in the market for a new one. With some reluctance, I chose a newer model, drawn by the convenience of using my existing battery. Initially, the setup seemed daunting due to unclear instructions, but to my surprise, the mower was ready to use straight out of the box. Inserting the battery and adjusting the handle was all it took to get started.

The mower came equipped with a mulching blade, which I decided to test before considering a switch. The performance exceeded my expectations, offering a seamless mowing experience and leaving my lawn looking immaculately even without noticeable row lines—a testament to the blade’s efficiency, especially when powered by a four-year-old battery.

This model proved to be lighter and easier to maneuver than its predecessor, a crucial feature for me, a 68-year-old woman navigating a yard full of natural obstacles. The improved wheels facilitated effortless turns, significantly enhancing the mowing process. My one critique would be the preference for a hand brake style propulsion control, which I found more suitable for my needs. Despite this, the transition to this new mower has been a positive one, reaffirming my decision to upgrade.

Customer assembly for this mower is minimal, making it quick to get started. It’s well-constructed, straightforward to maneuver and clean, and performs its job effectively with low noise levels. The 7.5 A battery provides a 40-minute runtime on dry grass, and it efficiently collects leaves at maximum speed. The mulching feature also works well. Although the cell phone pouch seems unnecessary to me, it could be useful for those who like to make calls or listen to music while mowing.

It excels in cutting, efficiently captures clippings and oak leaves, and is easy to store thanks to its foldable design. The battery’s hour-long lifespan is sufficient for large yards, and its fast charging is a bonus. This is the best mower I’ve used, outperforming both smaller electric and gas models.
